New dates for the ARL administrator seminar

We have set new dates for the ARL administrator seminar to 18.09. – 20.09.2013. It will be a basic training for system librarians and IT specialists from libraries, who are begining administrating the ARL. Independent seminar on web interface for data management (20.09.2013) will be held for the first time, which may be amended with additional specialized seminars (quality control of records, outputs, etc..) as per an agreement. More information about the seminar program can be found in the customer section.

Publishing articles in Itlib

Our colleagues have published articles in the latest issue of the ITlib – Information Technology and Libraries magazine (2/2013), focusing on compliance with standards and regulations for RFID technology and websites. Both articles are also available in the online version of the journal.

Sitemap – towards search engines

The sitemap file has already been created on several customer installations, allowing the internet search engines (robots) to obtain information of stored records in the database (IPAC), which is otherwise difficult to access. Thus, the IPAC records become available even for search engines. Gradual installation of sitemaps for all our customers is underway.

Central portal of Czech libraries project

We have actively participated in the conference SKIP Libraries for the Future – Future for the library on 21 June 2013, where we presented the solution proposal for the Central portal of Czech libraries project through cooperation with OCLC – a global membership organization of libraries creating and providing WorldCat, the largest library catalog in the world.
